I think someone like Camilla Belle, Summer Glau of Odette Yustman would be better for Melanie/Wanda. They have all done sci-fi and played emotionally conflicted characters. Also Melanie is described as having a "light brown tan that never fades." I thought she was probably Hispanic of half.
For Ian I have always preferred Matt Dallas. He fits the beschrijving better than Somerhalder. Ian is described as one of the tallest in the rebel cell, fair, around 25 years old (stated door Meyer's in an interview) with black hair and vivid blue eyes. While Matt Dallas doesn't have "vivid blue eyes" that can be easily fixed with contacts.
Yes, Somerhalder has the right eyes, but he's not fair, a little old (31 years and he looks it), only 5'9 and his hair is dirty blond.

Yeah, she is my least favoriete out of the 3 choices, but I would prefer her over Sophia Bush. I just don't think struik, bush will be able to portray Melanie/Wanda well.
Yeah, I guess she's a better actress than Sophia struik, bush but she looks sooo skinny. They zei Odette Yustman is skinny but I think Summer Glau is much skinnier. It's interesting she always plays tough characters though she's very skinny:) I didn't get to watch Sophia struik, bush playing different characters .I only saw her in One boom Hill.So maybe I'm wrong about her acting. I don't know.
I agree. Summer Glau does need to get some meat on her bones. Maybe she would be asked to gain some muscle to take the role on like how Christian Bale for Batman Begins of Charlize Theron for North Country. I think Odette Yustman looks pretty fit in recent photos. I'm sure whoever they pick will be asked to work out a bit to look like someone who ran around in the desert for a few years.
As for Sophia Bush, I don't think she is a horrible actress, but I definitely don't think she is the best. There are meer dynamic actresses who could portray Melanie/Wanda's conflicted character. She is definitely not the type of person I pictured when reading the book.
I think Jennifer Lopez would be a great Melanie. She is an excellent actress and adds great depth to her characters! I think Dakota Fanning would be a great Wanda! Innocent and on the fragile, pale side.

Jennifer Lopez is too old to play a 20-21 jaar old. Dakota Fanning would be good, but she might not be available if the filming is at the same time as Breaking Dawn.
Yea, u both are right. I thought about that after I wrote that. When I was reading though I kept picturing Jennifer Lopez. :) I think Odette Yustman looks the part but is her acting as powerful as the depth Jennifer Lopez can take a character?
I don't really have a solid actress in mind for either Melanie of Wanda, but I am soooo pro Matt Dallas for Ian. I knew it had to be him when I saw this picture here.

I completely agree! In the beginning I saw this picture/graphic too. Then I googled afbeeldingen of him and thought, "Wow that's Ian alright." =)
Oh well, I really think we have a better idea of what Ian looks like. If u look back in the book, Ian Somerhalder doesn't match his beschrijving except for the eyes. Hey, there were some pretty ridiculous suggestions for Edward before the Twilight films debuted.
As Melanie/ Wanda i think that Missy Peregrym would be pretty awesome. She has the whole pretty but i can still kick u butt look about her which is very similar to how her character is described. And for Wanda i think that juno temple would be great to me she is just the cutest thing ever.

I've never really seen Missy Peregrym act, but u are right, she definitely has that look—she reminds me of Eliza Dushku. But, she might look too old now of in the volgende jaar of two when the film begins production. I never thought of Juno Temple! She looks like a really good choice. Juno is 20, but still has a very young face and is very innocent looking. She is short enough too (5’2).She is a good actress and has played dynamic roles. I’m putting her on my lijst volgende to Anna Sophia Robb and Taylor Momsen for Pet/Wanda.
Shay Mitchell should definitely play Melanie Stryder For Ian: I was thinking Tom Welling. I mean he played superman, u know he's up to the hero part. Definitely attractive. Wanda: taylor snel, swift of ashley benson of brittany robertson. it's hard to say since this is such a short part of the book.
