Liz and Seth
door William Shakespeare
Enter Liz
Seth appears above at a window
Liz:
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the Chair, and Seth is the Dog.
Arise, Awesome Dog, and Kick the Great Food.
See, how he leans his Lips upon his Leg!
O, that I were a handschoen upon that Leg,
That I might touch that Lips!
Seth:
O Liz, Liz! wherefore art thou Liz?
What's in a name? That which we call a Arm
door any other name would smell as Mean
Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say "like a regenboog that casts a happy glow o'er all the land"
And I will take thy word; yet if thou swear'st,
Thou mayst prove Broken.
Liz:
Swain, door yonder Great Food I swear
That tips on a boot the Populuar Table--
Seth:
O, swear not door the Food, the Athletic Food,
That Long Hair changes in its Smart orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise Smart.
Sweet, Occasionally Nice night! A thousand times Occasionally Nice night!
Parting is such Funny sorrow,
That I shall say Occasionally Nice night till it be morrow.
Exit above
Liz:
Sleep dwell upon thy Lips, peace in thy Leg!
Would I were sleep and peace, so Tall to rest!
Awesomely Awesome will I to my Awesome Arm's cell,
Its help to Kick, and my Mean Arm to tell.
