This is the seconde book to my first short story "As the sun sets" This is a story about the life of Renesmee Carlie Cullen ( In her POV with some exceptions) now that she is a teenager!

I suggest reading my first book (as the sun sets), so u can better understand this one (Daylight) This will take place just where we left off in the first novel! Please Enjoy, and thank-you!

Chapter 3: Elisabeth


I woke up to the feel of Jacobs warm lips pressed lightly against my forhead.

"Were here, Nessie:"

I turned to face the window, staring out at the familiar ancient town of Volterra. Looks just the same as I had left it, although things seemed a little bit brighter with Jacob door my side. The plane slowly glided down, rolling against the runway. Jacob took a hold of my hand leading me out of the plane.

"You know Jacob, u could still go back..."

I zei hoping he may take me up on my offer. He squeezed my hand lightly and laughed;

"Not a chance"

I sighed "It was worth a try."

We picked up our lugauge and slowly made our way through the busy Airport. I knew now was a veilig time where we could discuss the Volturi. On the plane everybody is listening -but here it's all too occupied for anyone to pay attention.

"So Nessie, What exactly do u do?"

"With the Volturi?" I asked him.

He nodded, waiting to find out.

"Well, Now it seems as if they want me to teach a young Hybrid." I sighed " I only hope I can help - Her life lies in my hands now.."

He paused for a moment. "What did u do before - Last time u came?"

I took a qucik breath - I wasn't expecting him to ask me.

"That Isn't important.." I zei attempting to avoid the subject.

"Well of course it is" He said, pushing me for meer information.

"Id rather not have u know because I'll probaly have to do those aswell when im not tending to the child..."

I look up at Jacob, His expression was suddenly quite anxious. He brows pulled into a troubled look. He knew whatever I was trying to hide was no good. And to be honest it wasn't

While working with the Volturi before I was used for lots of things. somtimes reasearch other times I was put in charge of matters. Jane was always upset that the Volturi considered me "Higher up" then herself.

I guess the dangerous one was when I was used as bait. But I didn't find it condesending of anything- Maybe it was a little reckless, but I was helping. That's where the newborns came into play. If the volturi ever needed to do a round-up, they would place me near newborns and attack them when they got close.

I stared straight, focusing on the sound of the wheels dragging across the airport floor. The automatic doors slid open for us as we stepped onto the foriegn land. We stood there for a moment, waiting for our drive to arrive.

"Well - I did some reasearch for them..Sometimes I took care of the meer official descions.. Other times I ....assisted."

I looked up at Jacob for a moment and for a spleet, split seconde I wish I hadn't mentioned the last part. His eyes for urgent, wondering what I meant door it.

"Assisted?" He repeated, trying to keep his voice casual but I knew he was to worried to do so.

"It's nothing Jake - And they always make sure I'm perfectly safe.."

He turned towards me now- As if to shield me from the unknown once more. I knew I would regret telling him this, but Its better he hears it from me then anyone else..

"Well I guess one of my jobs was to luer newborns to the Volturi.."

"They used u as bait!?" He exclaimed.

"Well, I wouldn't call it that.."

He carefully grabbed a hold of my hand- pulling me closer. "Renesmee, Do u even realise how stupid and reckless and crazy and-"

I smiled, "Jake, It's alright. I'm alright"

He pulled me into an embrace and kissed the top, boven of my head

"Thankgod for that.." He whispered.

Suddenly it seemed as if the whole front of the Airport had turned in awe. They all stared in the same direction, I was curious and listened closly to the whispers.

"Oh my look at that.." One young man exclaimed, wide eyed.

"Degne di un re!" A young Italian woman zei in awe.

The crowd slowly parted in the middle as if somebody was walking through it- and it fact, someone was.

A middle aged man carefully made his way through the crowd peering around the mass of people. I soon reconized the man as Geof.

Geof worked for the Volturi - He was one of the few humans actualy involved with them. He was a kind man- sort of like their servant. But as long as the Volturi continued to put food on his family's tafel, tabel he didn't care what job he did.

"Ah, Renesmee" He said, making his way towards me. "Come stai?"

"Sto abbastanza bene, come stai?"

"Lo sono buono" The man responded happily.

Jake turned to me "You speak Italian?" He seemed surprised door this.

I shrugged "I picked some up when I lived here"

" Vedo che hanno portato un amico?" Geof pointed out, directing his attention towards Jacob.

I smiled at him. "Ah sì, questo è il mio fidanzato , Jacob."

Geof Politely shook Jacobs hand.

I turned to Jacob, motioning to Geof. " This is Geof, He's here to bring us to Volterra. He's sort of the Volturi's.. Servant if u will"

Jacob looked at Geof wide eyed, then back to me. " A human? But isn't that dangerous?"

I shook my head. " He wouldn't tell- Anyways he's been working for the Volturi for 20 years already, I doubt he'll say anything now.."

"Siete pronti a partire, la signora?" He said, taking the bags from Jacob.

I nodded " Si, grazie"

I took Jacobs hand, following Geof to the car. Although I wasn't too happy when it came into view. I really was hoping the people were exagerating. I dont know muc about cars so I couldn't tell u what kind of car it was - but it was definetly extravagant.

It's royal blue paint shimmered off in the warm Italian sun. It looked brand new but had an old timey feel to it. It stood out amongst the other cars, making this an unwanted spectacle. I sighed as we stepped into the car.

The Inside of it was a black leather, there were buttons for just about everything. It was all to overwhelming. I tried to ignore the over expensive car, and turned to Jacob.

"Wow." He mouthed looking around the car.

"..Wait until u see the room." I shuddered at the thought of it.

Geof took his place in the drivers seat, and started driving along the road.

"I never understood that Nessie, How u dislike exspensive things of luxary items. I mean, as a child u were surrounded door this stuff. Aren't u used to it?"

I smiled "But that's just it Jake. I've been surrounded door this stuff my whole life. Sometimes it's nice to just have somthing plain and simple; I'd really prefer taking a Taxi to this- But Aro would never allow it.."

"I guess you'll just have to suffer!" He teased sarcasticly.

I laughed lightly and rested my head against his shoulder.

I watched the Ancient town unwravel before me. It almost upset me that it had become so familiar, but at least this time I had Jacob. I was happy the windows on the car were tinted. It seemed everyone we passed had been mesmerised door this metal masterpiece.

After a long drive we had finaly made it to the Volturi. Geof Opened the door and went to the back to grab our suitcases. Jacob carefully helped me out of the car and closed the doors. He turned around to get the suitcases from Geof who was carrying them silently behind us.

"Oh, no no" Geof Had exclaimed, holding the suitcases back when Jacob outstreched his hand for them.

"I've learned not to argue with him - he is quite stubborn when it comes to assistance"

Jacob nodded once "Grazie"

I smiled, It seemed as if he was already increasing his vocabulary. This would probaly help him more, even though he could manage with just english.

We were led down the large hallway I had once traveled before. I still remembered each painting - each strip of goud that covered the walls. Jacob wrapped his arm around my waist, holding me secure.

The hallway came to a stop where two very large mohogany doors stood. Each detail in the ancient door was planted in my mind aswell, and not for the best reasons. A guard came out from the side,

"Ms. Cullen, We have been expecting u both. Go on In Aro is waiting"

He zei motioning towards the door. He then Directed Geof to bring our luguage to our suite.
Jacob slowly opened the doors, walking me into the ancient room where I had been many times before. I looked up towards where Aro, Marcus and Cauis sat. It seemed as if their faces lit up when glimpse was caught of me.

Aro smiled; "Renesmee, Jacob, So glad u could make it"

I nodded "It's nice to see u all too"

Jacob's arm was tight around me, I could tell he once meer didn't want me to go. There was a good few feet distance between the Volturi members and us, I could tell he intended to keep it this way. Although his ideas were completely unrealistic! But maybe he would grow used to the Volturi- Maybe.

"Jane and Alec are feeding the child right now -"

I felt Jacob tense, yet I didn't expect him to say anything.. It stood silent for a moment. I hoped they didn't mean the kind of feeding they do. But Jacob seemed curious enough to ask;

" Being fed?.. Like humans around here?" Jacob asked on edge. I knew he didn't want her to hunt anymore then I did.

Marcus smiled " Well of course not humans from Volterra!"

My head flashed up in the direction of the Volturi Imedietly;

"Your feeding her human blood?" I asked distressed.

"Well, Of course Renesmee. What else-" Aro asked confused door my surprise with her diet.

I Unwravled myself from Jacob, walking over to the Volturi. Of course Jacob followed close after me though. I moved a step closer with each word, stopping infront of them.

" This isn't veilig at all - If she is acustom to human blood and I'm around her for most of the day.."

I saw each of their expressions change as i spoke, I didn't even want to see Jacob's. He was at my side again- arm wrapped around me. They each looked at each other then back at me, I sighed.

"Well, it's nothing we can help now.. But I hope u will be keeping her on a diet of human food considering the wildlife here isn't plentyful enough for her to hunt Animals."

Aro nodded " Of course, Renesmee"

He called out for one of the guards to Plan her meals according so. I had a feeling thier teachings might make my Job quite harder..

" There is somthing else too.." Marcus started "The girl - She ages normaly.."

"What?" I asked slowly " I was told she was only two.."

"Well, she is. But her aging is only a jaar ahead of time. She must've stopped earlier then the rest - It's quite weird."

"I wouldn't know if that is abnormal.." I zei pondering the mystery. The girl seemed less and less real as minuten passed. Until Cauis spoke;

"Well if your ready - the child is here" Cauis spoke.

I nodded- "Of course"

" Jane, Bring her in"

Walking in swiftly behind the Volturi Jane hurridly made her way towards Jacob and I. I watched Jacob for a moment as Jane arrived - I noticed his glare towards her was almost replused. He had seen her before what was the problem? I turned to face Jane and the rest; That's when I saw it.

Jane and Alec were what seemed like.. restraining a young girl. I looked down at the girl, I couldn't see much of her. She seemed scared of them - Scared of everyone. Small tears ran down her cheeks as Jane and Alec held her still.

"What do u think your doing!" I exclaimed, Walking closer to the young girl. "Be careful with her! She isn't a young one- she still is half human"

Jane looked at me, a hint of brand in her already blazing eyes. "She's dangerous!"

" For a kitten, maybe! Let her go."

I stared at Jane for a second, yet she hadn't budged. So i turned my attention to Alec. I looked at him for a moment - staring at him. He nodded once, then let the young girl free. Before I had a chance to speak, the girl was at my side, holding onto my leg. Almost hiding from them.

Jane glared at Alec angrily, I looked down once meer at the small girl.

They were right - She does look that young, her face, her height allresembles that age. She can walk and run quite well - very balanced even for a two jaar old. Her skin was pale white- but had a roze flush, as mine did. She had long, straight golden hair that fell far over her shoulders.

But her hands were shaking - as if she was frightened of somthing. She held tightly onto my leg, as if she could tell that I was different. That I was safe. She slowly looked up at me, meeting my gaze. I felt Jacob jump slightly as he caught glimpse of her eyes, neither of us were expecting what we saw.

Her eyes didn't resemble that of her human colour - rather a vampires. They were crimsion red - brightly coloured pouring anxiously back into mine.

"Her eyes.." Jacob wispered quietly.

I bit my lip "It must be the Human blood.."

He nodded once, not keeping his eyes of her as I had. It was interesting seeing this girl - She reminded me quite of myself when I was her age. Yet I was never this scared.. She hid her face back in her hair, rufusing to look at anyone else.

"What did u do?" Jacob asked accusingly towards Jane and Alec.

"We did nothing!' Jane spat, A sly smiled slid across her face. "It isn't our fault If she doesn't listen. Some have to be punished.." . I

I lightly touched the side of the young girls face, it startled her at first, but then she didn't mind. I searched her thoughts for a moment, but then i found what I was looking for.

I felt my Jaw drop as I saw an Image of Jane using her powers on the small child. I gasped.

"Nessie?" Jacob asked warily.

I took my hand off of the childs face, and placed it to Jacobs. tonen him what she showed me.

A low growl built up inside Jacob.

"Problem, Dog?" Jane asked, darkly.

They both glared at eachother for what seemed like a dangerously long moment. I didn't like were this was heading..

"The Child looks a little faint- Maybe u should put her to sleep, Renesmee" Aro said, seeing where this was going aswell.

"Does she Have a name?" I asked curiously.

A little voice rang from under me, speaking with a bit of a shake- " M- My name is Elisabeth"
