END OF PART 1
As I was heading to the seconde flight of stairs I noticed a sheet over something on the wall. I pulled it off carefully and saw Carlisle’s cross. I became numb and quickly shuffled to the stairs. This was a huge mistake. I should never have come. I would never be able to return from this blackness but I was too far now and couldn’t stop. I tripped up the stairs and then crossed the short hallway in 3 unbalanced strides and almost fell but was supported door his room’s door.

I took another deep breath and opened the door
very wide.

Everything was covered in white sheets and my hart-, hart broke a little more. I pulled the sheet off his black leather divan, bank and sat down as I rubbed my hand against the smooth surface. I noticed his dresser to be uncovered so I investigated its contents. They were mostly empty except the very bottom one.

It was my favoriete overhemd, shirt of his. The blue one white the ivory buttons. It seemed to be wrapped around something so I picked it up and smelled it.

I almost fell over.

The scent on his overhemd, shirt was exactly the way I remembered but better. I quickly un wrapped it as thousand different emotions came upon me as I saw what was wrapped inside.


PART 3


I went to sit down on the black leather divan, bank as to not fall.

Why did he keep this if he didn’t love me? Oh wait. He left it here broken. So he wouldn’t have to see my face

I carefully removed the picture frame from the torn blue shirt. I warily placed each finger over each mark his hand must have indented into the large dark wood border with my left hand. I did not realize the tears were coming on because I started to trace the three blunt cracks in the thick glass. I whipped away the tears with my gray sleeve in order to see the picture of such a happy memory.

It was us dancing at the prom.

I rubbed my finger over his smiling face and started to sob. But I could not see either of our faces because of the fracture in the glass.
I flipped it over in order to examine the back of the frame. A piece of the backing was missing and on the white backing of the photograph was written, Dear Edward in my scrawled script. I cautiously opened the backing and removed the image to see the message I had once thought meant something to him.

Dear Edward,
    I’m glad u took me to the prom because I was able to spend it with you. I love u so much. Together forever.

I stared at the two word that shouted lies in my face.

Together forever

“WHY DID u LEAVE ME?” I shouted at his face in the photograph as I turned the picture over to see his face.

I flung the damaged frame to the ground and it landed on the hard wood floors with a crack and bang as what was left of the glass shattered.

I thought I noticed the door opened wider than when I left it.

I heaved myself onto the divan, bank and cried into his shirt.

“Why did u leave me? I thought u loved me?” I asked the overhemd, shirt as the sobs became uncontrollable. “Why Edward?” I zei his name out loud for the first time in so long that it burned my throat because of the pain of his memory.

“I’m so sorry,” was all he had to say. “I never meant to hurt you.”

Edward?
