I watched her come out of the room where she spent the last week getting better. She walked over to where I stood, waiting to take her to her apartment. I thought about how much Bella had meant to me, how much she had changed me. I thought about how easy it was to forget her now that my existence finally had a true meaning. I remember how I used to think that Bella was the whole point of my existence, how she was what kept me alive, but I now knew that she was just to help me control myself for the only true love I could have. CHAPTER I – Love Story

“Uhm…Mom?” I started hesitantly as my mother turned off my bedroom lights – on her way out of my room.

“Yes sweetie?” She crossed the length of the door to my bed in a tiny fraction of a millisecond. She turned on the bedside lamp as she gracefully sat on the side of my bed. The pale yellow light of the lamp made my mother’s face hauntingly beautiful.

“Mom, I’m wondering if u would tell me my favoriete story again?”

My mom raised her perfectly shaped eyebrows. Humor twinkling in her lovely golden eyes.

“Haven’t u had enough of THAT story yet?”...

I was raised not to fear anything. I was told to face it, taste it, welcome it.

I haven’t faced real fear before.

Not fear for this huge ball of vacht, bont whose trying to smash my brain out. Not fear for my life. But fear that this glorious angel, who is standing a foot away – wait, I think I just saw her up the Redwood – wait she couldn’t be up that tree, how could she? Unless my brain’s already smashed inside my skull.

Where was I?

Incoherency. Damaged brain, no doubt.

Again, I fear that this glorious angel, nearer to our fight now, would be hurt, harmed in any way.

I have to say, it took me awhile to get past my first impression of Twilight. Actually, I had never even heard of the boeken until I saw people gushing about them on Fanpop. I scoffed at the Fanpoppers comparing them to Harry Potter, never questioning my belief that nothing could come close to the level of awesomeness that is the HP series.

The Twilight saga came up meer and meer often as the release datum for Breaking Dawn drew closer, and despite my first impression, I started getting curious. Dismissing a book offhand is not something I do lightly, especially when so many people seem to love...
