I woke up, still feeling his arms around me
“Did I fall a sleep” I asked him confused. “I thought vampires can’t sleep”
“yes u did fall a sleep and no vampires don’t sleep, but it’s probably because you’re pregnant and very tired that u did” he zei back
“How long did I sleep then” asking him but still looking outside.
“about 7 hours I guess” he zei back
“It’s so strange, I don’t feel like a vampire right now” Are u sure u made me one” I laughed a little and looked at him and saw him laughing too

How the hell did he find out? I had not zei anything and neither had Edward of Jacob. Well, I don’t know about their thoughts. I’m not really paying attention to Edward’s since I’m trying to find the bracelet and Jacob never zei anything at all to Charlie the past week.

Kayla’s POV


Life was to carry on as normal. That meant I would have to go to school and take my exams. I knew I was veilig because Edward was with me and Charlie zei Mitchell would be constantly on look out. Plus the wolves were helping too. So I shouldn’t be so jittery, right? But I was. Every noise scared me and any slight movement had me cowering into Edward’s protective embrace. Edward found this all amusing. Glad I made someone laugh.
The weekend I just had seemed to drag on for weeks and weeks. It felt longer than just two days. So the following week dragged on for what felt like months...

Perhaps if I had not so tightly clutched the rose, its thorns would not have pierced my flesh so deeply.

The creeping vines finally reached the branch on where I sat. They touched my cheek and gently wiped my tears away. I realized there were two options left for me: Either I sit still and ignore the pain of gather enough courage and walk away. I sighed. I could not do either one.

“I’ll be okay.” I whispered softly in the dark. I hoped that could be true.

I tried to do as many activities as I could during the day. The exhaustion and weariness did not stop me from cramming my day’s schedule full. I woke up to Edward sitting beside me. I yawned and laid my head on his chest.

Every shade of green – jade, olive, smaragd, emerald – looked dull. The trees held no interest for me. I expected, as I let my vampire senses took over me, that everything around me would burst in color, would awe me as they once did. The sky was a perfect setting for a night like this – the full moon hung just right overhead. The sky filled with thousands of twinkling stars.

Charlie and I were sitting in the living-room, watching TV and talking, when someone knocked on the door.
“Will u get that, Kayla,” Charlie said. He was smiling. I didn’t like that smile. He knew something that I didn’t. I hated that.

The male vampire was strong; u could see that clearly, the overhemd, shirt he wore was straining against his chest and arms. He had cropped black hair and his eyes glinted red.
