Why does everyone hate Squirrelflight and Leafpool so much? *Spoilers*

Here are just some ideas:
Squirrelflight: lied to her kits and Brambleclaw, separated with Brambleclaw in the new prophecy, dumped Ashfur for Brambleclaw.

Leafpool: Left the clan with Crowfeather, fussed over Cinderpaw/heart's leg to much, blames herself for the death of Cinderpelt too much, sometimes gets angry at Jayfeather.

Leafpool is a liar and ppl think squirrelflight is cocky. Their sisters so everyone hates them both, but i love Squirrelflight. Squirrly all the way! :D

I can understand why some people dislike Leafpool and Squirrelflight being that they lied to their kits and clan. However u have to understand their situation. At this time Leafpool didn't have an apprentice, so if she told the clan she would have to resign her duties as medicine cat, therefore leaving the clan without a medicine cat. As for Squirrelflight, I think she deserves meer credit because she looked after her sister, If she hadn't taken the kits then Leafpool's life would have been ruined. Also she never was with Ashfur, she was just vrienden with him and he took it the wrong way, are males and females not allowed to be just friends? Squirrelflight couldn't tell Brambleclaw the truth either,even if he would have kept it a secret because if the clan found out about the kits and that he had lied about it he would lose his position as deputy. Finally, I hate how everyone seems to love Hollyleaf yet hate Leafpool and Squirrelflight. The two sisters may have lied but Hollyleaf killed a cat and tried to force her own mother into suicide! Leafpool and Squirrelflight were trying to save the kits from a life of cats judging them for their origins. Although I do think it was foolish of Leafpool to get involved with Crowfeather, I also think she is at hart-, hart a good cat. I don't hate Hollyleaf either, I think everyone needs to think about the situation these cats are in.

Well i love both. At first i didnt like eekhoorn because she was such a smartmouth. But as time went on and she smoothed out i learned to love her.

And i think Leafpool is just fine. So she lied. Firestar (my fave cat!!) lied to Bluestar meer then once and he did what he thought was right. And everything turned out fine.

Well, I don't think Leafpool will be exiled from Thunderclan, just stripped of her med. cat duties and become a warrior. Squirrelflight on the other hand was never my favoriete cat, and to tell u the truth, I think she turned soft when Leafpool had Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze.

Not everyone hates them. Most people hate them because of the lies and what they did to the kits. I mean, poor Hollyleaf. She loved the Warrior Code and followed it to a T then found out her own existance was comlpetley against the code being half-Clan AND a medicine cat's kit

i dont get why there hating on Leafpool but i dont like Squirrelflight that much! The least she could hav done was told Brambleclaw! He would of understood! But she obviously ddnt trust him enough so i think that shes selfish!

I love them!! I just don't get why people would hate them! They are awesome! Leafpool is so calm and sweet, and Squirrelflight is so pretty! I love them!!

i used to like squirrelflight and leafpool but i hate them now cuz of wat they did theyre lying bitches and i dont particularly like thier kits either i think thunderclan would be better off without them and as 4 crowfeather i always hated him

I agree with you. I don't think it was really smart for them to lie to their clan, but they did it to make life easier for the kits and all of them. But I still think that Squirrelflight should have let Brambleclaw know that they weren't really his kits. If Squirrelflight and Leafpool hadn't lied, none of this would've happened. But they were doing it for the sake of the kits which I think is really brave. If someone would've found out, both Squirrelflight's and Leafpool's lives could have been at stake. Some really hostile cats toward half clan cats and breaking the warrior code could have killed them if they found out. I don't get why everybody hates Squirrelflight and Leafpool either.

I like Leafpool and Squirrelflight! What were they supposed to do? Put yourselves in their shoes, how would u deal with it is the real question. Squirrelflight is sassy and is a challenge. She was a good mother to Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and the sadly departed Hollyleaf. She can't help that she didnt have kits while her sister did and she just happened to be a medicine cat! Forgive and Forget people

Leafpool did it for her kits... and possibly Crowfeather. Squirrelflight did it for her sister. It's not that I hate them, which I don't, but I'm not a fan of liars. I like Leafpool as well. People may not like liars... this isn't my full answer btw

i love them both but others might hate em for these reasons:

1) leafpool broke the medicine cat code and squrellflight covered it up.

2) sqrrelflight BROKE BRAMBLECLAW'S HEART.

i wish people would stop blaming them and squrrelflight and brambleclaw would get back togather!!!!!1

I think Squirrelflight and Leafpool deserve better standards than this. Sure, I don't like Leafpool on the verge of hating her, but that doesn't mean I should rant on how horrible she is. And Squirrelflight and Leafpool lied to make things easier, but I think they only made things worse. Sure, Squirrelflight lied to Brambleclaw, but he could have told on her! And it's not the best idea to tell your mate that these kits aren't yours. I think their very noble cats, and that u should respect them for their bravery, putting their life at stake. Squirrelflight has her faults, Leafpool too, but u shouldn't point out every bad thing they've done. It's not like you've never lied before, your not perfect. When it comes to yourself, everything changes, eh?

Poor kits! I like those two plus the three kits. I dunno why peeps hate them though.

I enjoy both characters

First off Firestar would not exit Leafpool and her kits if she told the truth, especially since she’s his daughter. Falling for someone and running away with him. When she had duties to do back in ThunderClan.
As for Squirrelflight she had been a annoying character. Squirrelflight was annoying throughout the whole 2nd series. She starts stupid arguements with Bramblestar. And she overreacts too much over everything. And everyone treats her as the queen because she is “Firestar’s daughter.” She is basically the center of attention.

Actually I think the the clans should have appreciated their deception. Because of it, Thunder Clan had an amazing medicine cat and the three kits were not treated as "half-clan". The focus on the "big lie" and subsequent hatred ruined the Power of Three and the Omen of the Stars for me. I get enough pettiness in the real world.
