“How much farther?” Percy complained
“Not much; about five meer steps” I answered
We took five meer steps and suddenly we were at the gates to a garden, ten minuten until sunset. We sat around on a blanket I pulled out of thin darkness, instead of thin air.
“So, Sarah, how are u doing?” Annabeth asked gently
“I am perfectly happy being a single girl again. After this mission, I will never have to see that traitor again” I replied
“Sarah-“Percy started
“I know what you’re going to say. ‘Sarah, think for a second. Robin would never do that’ and you’re wrong. He would.” I interrupted
“Sarah-“he attempted again
“No. It all makes sense now. The first time we left and he wasn’t there, he was probably making out with his new girlfriend. The seconde time, he thought I was getting suspicious, so he got Kalder to cover for him” I continued
“SARAH! Please be quiet! I think I heard something” Percy exclaimed
I opened my mouth to protest, and then I heard something. I tilted my head and listened closer. Someone of someones were singing. I could barely make out the words, but when I did, I sang along.
“Flower gleam and glow, let powers shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt, change the fates design, save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine, what once was mine…” I sung. Suddenly, four girls started to appear out of thin air and they opened the gates for me, Annabeth, Percy and Nico.
“Only the one who sang may enter” one zei
“Thy vrienden may not enter our garden” zei another
“Okay. I will go alone.” I agreed “I will be back soon” I told my friends
As we entered the Garden, I decided to tell them why I was here.
“I need a golden apple. Zeus sent me to retrieve it along with to other flowers to bring back Apollo’s immortality” I told them. The oldest turned on me.
“So, that is why u are here. But that is not the only reason is it? u are trying to hide. From a boy. A boy who broke your hart-, hart and who is now in Greece” the oldest mused
“Who zei anything about a boy breaking my hart-, hart recently?” I demanded
“You just did. I never zei a time, but u did. I was simply bluffing. Anyways, the apples are this way. u may have one if u defeat Ladon, our pet dragon” she told me
I walked over to the tree. I looked up and saw it. A shimmering golden appel, apple the size of a basket ball. I climbed up and grabbed it and dropped it into my shadow purse. I saw the girls whisper something, then the youngest yelled: “LADON! AWAKEN!”
I turned around to find a thousand headed dragon get up and look directly at me. I looked back. It lunged at me with a roar that could shatter glass. I opened a shadow portal big enough to fit the dragon and he ran right into it. The seconde his tail disappeared, I closed the portal and walked out of the garden, golden appel, apple in my purse. When I was out, I re opened the portal in the same spot so he couldn’t chase me. My vrienden were slack-jawed with shock.
