"Let us go!" Artemis strained.
Evelyn laughed. "Not without a fight, of course." She looked at Jeannette. "You take Erica. She is out of my league."
"What are we going to do?" Artemis asked before we fell down.
Evelyn doesn't know that Superboy has anger issues. We could leave it at that.
With a loud yell, Superboy lunged at an unsuspecting Evelyn, bursting through the wall.
"Artemis, stop the countdown!" I ordered. She nodded and went to the computer screen, when Air sent me flying to the wall.
Jeannette stood, towering over my frail figure. "I'm glad Evelyn actually let me take you." She pulled me up with the kraag of my costume. "She always handles the garbage."
Sorry, Jenny. I punched at her ribs, making her cower back.
She recovered, swirling around. A tiny tornado was spinning around me, taking away all the breath I had.
"Sorry it had to come to this!" she yelled over the wind. "We could have been great friends!"
Artemis looked at me cautiously, grabbing an arrow from her quiver.
Don't worry about me. Stop the countdown!
I grabbed at my neck, breathing at a veilig pace. "We were great vrienden in my world. I was your mentor, and u were my prodigy. Once I lost my powers, u became the Avatar."
The tornado stopped. Her silver eyes looked excited. "I was?"
I nodded. "You could've been the strongest person in the world, what with your new powers and the Avatar."
"What new powers?" she asked.
I dared to look into her face. "You were injected with Superman's blood, and u became as strong as him."
She looked surprised, but then she said, "Continue."
"You fell in love with a man named Roy Harper, and two years later, he broke your hart-, hart when u found out that he had a daughter. Her mother was Cheshire." I waited for her stop shaking, but she never did.
I went on. "When Lian, his daughter, went missing, u found her in an abandoned ghost town. There, Joker found you, stabbed u several times with a blade of Kryptonite, then left u there to explode."
Hurry, Artemis... "The team was never the same again. I rejoined, this time with the same skills as Batman and Robin. Right now, I'm even wearing the suit u used to wear when fighting."
"The original Nightfury suit," she whispered.
I nodded. "You see, Jenny, this Earth is just a copy of ours. If u explode our Earth, u wouldn't even exist. Evelyn is tricking you. When our Earth is gone, you'll be gone with it."
Her face was cold. She stood there with her eyes closed, thinking of her volgende move.
"Help us stop the countdown, Jenny. Stop Evelyn's reign of terror. Make your world a better place."
"Okay," she whispered. She helped me up, and gently moved Artemis aside. She stopped the countdown with a quick push of a button, and we all could breathe again.
"You finished?" Superboy's voice came from the doorway.
I turned around. He was holding Evelyn's body. "Is she...?"
"She's not dead." He smiled.
I smiled with him, but we weren't done yet.
"Let's go find Robin."
"She's not dead."
Epilogue-
2 weeks later...
Artemis landed on the rooftop, bow drawn.
"Relax, it's me." Revenge said, emerging from the shadows.
Artemis cocked her head, but didn't let go of her bow of arrow. "What do u want Revenge?"
"I've changed my mind." Revenge said. "I'll kom bij the Team on one condition."
"What condition?" Artemis asked.
"You listen to what I have to say."

Cheshire bowed before Ra's Al Ghul.
"Your mission was a success?"
"Yes master." Cheshire handed her leader a disc which he inserted into a computer. "Holly's true loyalties were proven."
The screen behind Ra's Al Ghul lit up revealing a familiar face.
"And another of the "heroe's" identities belongs to...the Light."

Revenge jumped down and kicked him in the face. The shadow fell to the ground. Revenge pinned him before opening the drawer. The body was disintegrated, an acid ate through the flesh, muscles, bones, everything. Revenge collected a sample before he saw the grenade.
It was a timed grenade. And the timer indicated ten seconden before detonation.
"Shit!"

"Nerve gas."
"In a liquid form, yes Red Revenge."
