“I remember this! It was my mom's. I use to take it with me and every time Chase saw it, he'd flip out and tried to take it. u always had to stop us from killing each other.”

Becca laughed and put the little pocket sized book in a drawer. She reached inside the bag and pulled out another treasure.
“Hey that's the locket I gave you,” Cole said.
Becca nodded and sat down on the bed volgende to him. Their legs tangled and Becca opened it. She burst into laughter and Cole took it from her hands. A smile lit his face.
“I remember that day. That was the dag u and Chase decided to pull a big April Fool's dag prank on everyone in the palace. We all got punished but it was worth it.”
Becca nodded as her laughter faded into giggles.
“The old owner of the kasteel was amazing. I'm surprised Elithia is even her daughter!”
“I know. She's nothing like her mother.”
They layed back on the bed and looked at the ceiling. Becca sighed and took the locket back.
“What happened Cole?”
He looked over at her.
“What do u mean?”
“Last thing I clearly remember was running away from Elithia's kasteel the night it burned down. Any other memories are fuzzy. What happened? I hate not knowing!”
“It's okay Becca. u shouldn't remember. It was horrible. All u really need to know is that we got out. Otherwise we'd be in trouble.”
Becca nodded, still staring at the ceiling.
“I'm sorry,” Cole whispered.
Becca turned her head to face him.
“For what?” she whispered back.
“For loosing u the night the place went up in flames. Chase and I knew u had made it out, but we couldn't find u anywhere.”
“It's okay Cole. I understand. That night is a little fuzzy, but I know how chaotic it was. Everyone was running around and screaming. I heard several voices screaming with tears. The animals were terrified. When I got out, I headed as far away as possible. I could tell u and Chase had gotten out, so I was okay with leaving. I didn't want to go back with Elithia. So I just flew away.”
“That night was crazy. I'm glad you're okay Becca.”
“I'm glad u guys are still alive. But what's the real reason you're here Cole? u knew this whole time, but u never visited. Why are u really here?”
Cole looked away and sat up. Becca leaned back on her hands and waited for Cole to answer.
“Chase and I are happy to see u Becca. Why do u assume something's wrong?”
“Other than the fact that u can't look me in the eye? Cole, I can read u like a book. That's why I asked u up here. Chase would have brushed it off. u answer me. So tell me. What's wrong?”
Cole stayed silent and Becca sighed. Great. I hate doing this but I know how to play him. Sorry Cole, but I need answers. Becca came to sit behind him, and Cole tensed up. Becca brought her hands around his neck and put her face door his.
“What's wrong Cole?” she murmured in his ear.
Cole shivered and Becca smirked a little. She lightly bit his ear, pulling a little.
“Tell me,” she urged.
Cole got off the bed and Becca sighed. She followed him off and pinned him against the wall. Cole looked at her with fearful and excited eyes. She bit his ear again, harder this time.
“Tell me.”
“Alright! I'll tell you!”
Becca pulled back with a smirk.
“Good. I thought I'd have to resort to meer tactics. And I was so close too.”
“Geez Cole. u really have a thing for her, don't you?”
Chase came into the room, closing the door. Becca smirked.
“You'd have broken too, Chase.”
“Yeah but not as quickly.”
Becca turned back to Cole.
“Now what's the news?”
“Well, Aith's been sighted in the area.”
“Aith? I thought he was in jail?”
“Guess who bailed him out again,” Chase said.
“Hmmm. Elithia.”
“Bingo.”
Chase sat on the bed and pulled Becca onto his lap. Cole looked angry, but stayed where he was.
“So what are u guys going to do?” Cole asked.
“Us? Nothing. I'm going to confront him alone.”
