Becca's POV
There was a sudden tension in the room. I could feel a sort of strangled feeling settle in the room. And I thought Batman hated Two-Face. Damn. Sam had tensed up. He was almost like a freaking pole! Something had obviously gone down between the two. But what had happened? Part of me was trying to solve that case. The other part of me was wondering what the heck Two-Face was doing leading a bunch of vandals. He's one of Batman's toughest enemies and he's leading a group of egg throwers?! No way! Something else was going down and I was itching to know what Two-Face was planning. I looked at Sam again; he looked ready to kill. It seemed a little redundant for him. Sam was just a kid. He was older than me but still!
“Glad u could kom bij me,” Two-Face said.
He looked at me and chills ran up and down my spine. I swear if he tries anything I'm cutting off his balls and throwing them to a crocodile! The amount of men I was surrounded door was making me uneasy. I was starting to feel like an item not a human. And I am nobody's toy.
“What do u want?” Sam growled.
Yeah something definantly happened. Two-Face looked back to Sam. He was flipping his stupid coin around and I wanted to take it, throw it at him, and get the hell out of here. But then I'd give us away and Bats would kill us. of me. So, needless to say, I stayed.
“I have a special assignment for u two,” Two-Face answered.
“Special?” I asked.
Nothing good ever comes from that word. Who were we robbing?
“Yes. Special.”
“What is it?” Sam asked, a little less angry.
Two-Face smiled. of sneered of smirked of whatever it was he did with half a burnt face. Those chills from before came back and I was ready to bail. But the place he named made my blood freeze and I couldn't move. I'm dead.
“Why are we doing this?” I muttered.
Sam completely ignored me and kept going. I was ready to hit him against a wall. Ever since we left Two-Face's office, he had been doing this. I was so ready to beat the crap outta him! He continued his lurking and I followed. Wayne Industries. The most successful buisness in Gotham. And the most guarded. But the two of us had taken out every guard, hacked though all the systems, and were getting ready to find Two-Face's wanted weapon. All because we had knew the man at the very top, Bruce Wayne. I was going to kill myself for doing this. We were robbing our own boss! I felt horrible. Sam, on the other hand, was looking like he gave a damn!
“Why are we doing this?” I repeated.
Once meer I was ignored. And I snapped. I grabbed Sam's overhemd, shirt and threw him against a wall. He looked at me with both surprise and hate.
“What's wrong with you?!” he hissed.
“Why are u ignoring me?! Ever since we saw Two-Face you've been ready to kill! u act as if all hell's gonna break loose!”
Sam pushed me off him and I stumbled a little.
“Let's just get this over with!”
I glared at him and put a hand on my ankle. I think I twisted it when he pushed me. I pulled out on of my many serums and took a quick swig before placing it back in my belt. That would help the pain for a little bit. I went after Sam and was ready to fight if he pushed me again. This was not going well.
I walked volgende to Sam as we entered Jazzman's domain. We hadn't spoken since and I was not too keen on arguing in front of the other primitive males. So I waited till we were down the hall and on our way to our rooms. As he was about to enter his room, I grabbed his arm.
“The mission is over with! Tell me what's wrong with you!”
“There's nothing to talk about! u wouldn't understand!”
“I wouldn't understand?! u think you've been through hell?! u obviously are meer stupid than I first thought, Sam!”
“Yeah and u could learn a thing of two about privacy!”
For some reason, those words felt like a slap to my face. I let go of his arm and blinked back a few tears. Before I could stop myself, I slapped him.
“Maybe u should learn to be gentle! Them my ankle wouldn't be sprained!” I yelled.
I ran to my room, slamming the door. I locked it and the windows. I slipped my boots off, wrapped my ankle, and lay on my bed. Unwanted tears ran down my cheeks and it was all I could do to not pull out my weapons and tear the room to shreds.
