There'll always be haters. Doesn't matter what it is, there'll be someone who tries to put it down. #totallyzenWantadog

Prejudice yes, actually -isms no. The ism / phobia part, remember, is the institutional / societal / legal aspect of it, remember, and that's not real. Society and law as a whole were designed for whites / men / straights / cis people / etc.

It's also possible to be racist to whites. No one is exempt from hating someone for something that they can't help. If you hate someone for being white and only that (and yes this includes stating that all whites are evil and racist and therefore it's justified) then you're being racist. If you think all men are evil rapists and the only thing that makes you think they're rapists is the fact that they're men then you're sexist. If you hate straights for being straight then you're being hateful.

And this is coming from a (yes white) asexual female. So if anyone wants to pull the 'oh you poor straight white male' thing, you can shove it because I am only one of those things, and I'm getting sick of the bullcrap.
Sorry--this is more of a note to tumblr than it is anyone here.

As another note; tumblr likes to state that "Racism = Prejudice + Power" implying that (and Imma pull this from an article-- "Racism = Prejudice + Power" originated in a book by Pat Bidol in 1970. Titled "Developing New Perspectives on Race," in it Bidol explicitly makes the formulation as stated and then uses this definition as the basis for an argument that in the United States Blacks cannot be racist against whites, they can only be racially prejudiced against them.

Ya know, I'll just link y'all to the article because it explains it better than I can; link

All of this said, sorry if I caused anyone any offense.

Racism as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary: Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior:

Absolutely nothing about which race, OR basis on society as a whole.

Sexism as as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary: Prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex

Keyword: TYPICALLY. Not always.

Discrimination as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary: The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex

Again, nothing about WHICH race, age, or sex, or nothing on whether or not this applies to individuals or only a society as a whole.

Under a strict interpretation of these definitions, not one that someone from the SJW side of tumblr is going to make up and type at you in all caps, things like reverse racism and sexism towards men can exist. You CAN discriminate against a white man, and people, in fact, do.

ALL discrimination- whether it be against one group or another- is a serious matter and should be taken as such. What happens on a wide scale to innocent queer, non-binary, non-white, non-men today could happen very easily to innocent, straight, binary, white men tomorrow if we aren't careful, and it won't be any less disgusting regardless of what tumblr tells you.

And really I wanted to check with this community beign a lot of tumblr people are coming to Fanpop lately.

This info concerns me more deeply than it should. Fanpop was my break from the shitty (racist/sexist) way tumblr goes about social justice. Like I just found this bullcrap post not even 10 minutes ago; The arguments against social justice on here are so hilarious they’re like “this website is so hell bent on being decent and respectful….like….its to the point where I’m actually AFRAID to be racist??? Like…I might get HATE MESSAGES for my active hatred & desire to inflict pain upon innocent oppressed people….I might be dragged for being a racist homophobe…..that’s oppression right there,,,,”

It's like no that's not it at all. The reason we are against social justice is because of the way people do it over on tumblr. 'Hellbent on being decent and respectful' my ass. I've seen so many needlessly rude comments against not only majority groups but also fellow sjw's; not even kidding I've seen a black tumblr user try to oust another for not being 'dark enough' or some bullcrap. Like how do you say you're for social justice and pull something like that. How do you say you're for equality and then trash talk men and make 'male tears' jokes? That is not decent and respectful. And by all means (in relation to this question) that's hella sexist.

We're not 'afraid to be racist'. I can imagine that half the people against social justice warriors are not 'afraid to be racist' (because they never were in the first place; they're afraid that anything they do will be seen as racist because the sjw's seem to find something 'problematic' in everything. I pray that this was a troll; but I've seen someone call a white user racist for eating Chinese food!
Moreover the fear isn't that they can't be racist anymore; it's probably more akin to being afraid of getting racial/sex-related/sexual orientation-related hate thrown at them by the more extreme of the sjw's.

Omg that whole post just rubbed me the exact wrong way. If anyone cares I actually better explained myself on this matter here; link

Anyways, sorry again guys, this topic just gets me a bit heated.
