Ok, well I'm going to be perfectly respectful in this artikel because I don't want to make anyone mad, I just want to make a point. If u agree of disagree with it, that's up to you. Please don't be rude inthe commentaar section, and give reasons for opinions. Thanks!
Now I can start. May I just start door saying that I am on the Harry Potter side (with all due respect to Twilight fans)
I've noticed that one of the things Twilight fans say is that Bella is a meer relatable character than Harry. I think that that is a good point because technically, u can be a normal teenager who goes to school and has vrienden and a boyfriend, but it isn't possible to go to Hogwarts and learn wizardry. However, that doesn't make sense because both series use fantasy as a genre. Harry Potter is just set in it's own fantasy place, while Twilight is set in an actual city. So people are able to think that it is meer relatable, but it in fact isn't.
Another thing that can affect your opinion on "relatability" is the fact that Twilight is written in first person, so u are put in that perspective that u are Bella, therefore, thinking that it is meer relatable. In Harry Potter, the artikel isn't written in first, person, so u don't feel as attached to the main character as u do when u read Twilight.
It is perfectly normal to feel that way, but it is important to dig a little deeper and to remember that u can't always relate to the main character, because Harry isn't always a relatable character, and neither is Bella (mostly). I like the fact that JK Rowling went furthur to describe meer than just 3 main characters in her books. What I mean to say is that if u can't relate to Bella (the populair new girl who many guys fancy and has the perfect boyfriend), of Edward of Jacob(I doubt many guys read Twilight, since it is aimed at young women and late teens), then there really isn't anyone else u can relate to within the books. Who do u think there is to relate to? Jessica? Other than her relationship with Mike, and briefly going to the films with Bella, we don't know much about her since the story is mainly based on Bella's relationship with Edward.
On the other hand, in Harry Potter, being almost anyone within the hierachy at school, u can relate to them in Harry Potter. u could be a loner, and relate to Neville. u could be a weirdo and relate to Luna. u could be a nerd and relate to Hermione. u could be a jock, and relate to the Quidditch players. u could the class clown and relate to Fred and George. u could be misunderstood and relate to Draco. u could be a follower and even relate to Crabbe and Goyle! The lijst goes on.
To say that Twilight is meer relatable is not necessarily true, because relatability isn't always based on realisticness, and does not always refer to the main character. I'm just saying that I can find meer people to relate to in Harry Potter than Twilight. Again, it's just an opinion, and I don't mean to offend anyone.

Hello everyone!
I'm planning on writing a letter to Stephenie Meyer regarding the Twilight series. I wanted to address all the points many people do not like in the series. The letter is going to be friendly and straight-forward. I wanted to hear what everyone would want me to include. These are a few of the topics I am going to be including:
- Anti-feminism
- Abusive relationship
- Unhealthy obsession
- Lust does not equal love
- Bella is horribly rude to her vrienden (not valued friendships)
These are just a few. Please add anything and if there is something specific you'd like me to add.
I'll be working on this letter and posting on Sunday on Fanpop, so I can add anything else and have your approval and then I will send it to her.
I understand that Seth probably won't let it get to her, but it's worth a shot and I will post his reply (assuming he does reply.)
Thank you! :)
