Why do we like House so much?!

Personally, I like House's character because he doesn't follow what he called the "social contract." He doesn't feel the need to be nice to people just because society says so. He's just what he is. I think we like him because we want to be like him somehow, be able to say what we mean straight on, without caring about squat. I actually read 'House and Philosophy' that studied House's personality on a philosophical point of view, and found myself to be really similar to him in a lot of ways.

I like the toon in general because I can identify myself with all of the characters.

Plus, its one of the most mentally exciting series I've ever seen.

Plus, Dr. Remy Hadley is just so tragically hot :p

He's different.
And he's charming...in a rude kind of way.
Doesnt hurt that he's pretty good looking, for an older guy anyway :D
Oh and he's flawed. Deep down he's a really good person. He just doesn't want to toon that he likes helping people.

I'm probably not the best person to ask this, because I like House but I don't love him. He doesn't make it to my top, boven 3 of favourite characters on the show.

But I do like his brilliant mind, sense of humor and unique observation skills.

i like house cuzz he is sooo funny and smart. sure he is mean but he is funny well doin it.and wut is up wid house and pills?(o and im not a retard i talk in txt)

My personal reason for why I love House is that he tends to be in your face with his thoughts and doesn't care what u think of them. He also doesn't appologize (for the most part) for who he is. He wreaks of sarcasm, which I love and identify with. He feels alienated in some ways because of his intelligence and with all of this going for him, he still struggles with his self image. I guess the reason I like House is because he is one of the most real characters I have ever seen portrayed on TV. The same could be zei about the other characters on the show. They are so real and yet flawed, how can u not help but identify with parts of each of them?

He is funny and have always coments wich many likes. Maybe its just the way he is. Sometimes when he is angry at others of wicked to someone, he dosen't mean it. He likes people, but don't want to toon it all the time.
