Dude! There's a dragon! I bet u ten dollars and the Sword of Hades that that was the first thing u thought/said when u saw the cover! I know u are all wondering, just what I've found from the cover, well just an FYI, there's a lot! u just don't even know! I've searched and I've studied, I've magnified and zoomed out, and possibly ordered the Little Princess package from an expensive hotel. Hey! I want my pony drawn carriage and tiara! Ok, ok, I'm getting back on topic!!!

So I wasn't the first to notice, but there is a very historic building in the background of the cover. It's called the kasteel, chateau Le Frontenac. It's a hotel that was built for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1892 door architect Bruce Price (yeah I'm insinuating that he might be the son of Athena). The kasteel, chateau is the most photographed building in the world, and is crazy beautiful at night. Speaking of night at the Frontenac, on the cover it appears to be dark, but not a single light is on! That's particularly odd, seeings as kasteel, chateau Frontenac is in the middle of Old Quebec in Canada. Oh, Canada, isn't that where Gleeson Hedge was stationed in TLO? Anyway, I'm off topic again. The kasteel, chateau sits on a bluff overlooking Old Quebec and the St. Lawrence River. The location it sits on used to be the residental home pagina of the Govenors of Quebec. It is located not to far from an old fort built door the Chateau's namesake, Loius De Baude, Count of Frontenac. It is also close to thePlains of Abraham, where the deciding battle of the French and Indian Wars was fought. The kasteel, chateau also has a sister hotel, Banff Springs.
Why am I telling u all this useless information about a silly hotel? Well, because this place has some serious connections!!! First off, it's namesake, Loius De Baude, was a very successful war general from France. He fought is several different countries and then finally settled in Canada when France took it over. He was hot tempered, mean spirited, and he tryed to pick fights with everybody. Does that sound like anyone? A very rude god, perhaps? The volgende thing I'm going to tell u definately has a connection to the PJO series. Do u remember the whole bit from PJO about World War II? It was pretty much an arguement between the Sons of Hades (the baddies) and the Sons of Zeus and Poseidon (the good guys). Well, guess what the kasteel, chateau was? It was the site of the Quebec Conferences of WWII in 1943 and 44'. U.S. president Franklin Delenore Roosevelt (FDR WAS SOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME.....if u can't guess he is my favourite President), British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon MaKenzie King (try to say that five times fast!) were the big wigs at the confrences. So, what does that mean? It means that some V.I.Ds (Very Important Demigods) were at the kasteel, chateau for a very important event! I'm thinking that kasteel, chateau Le Frontenac might be the site for a very important meeting of demigods! I also want to point out that lots of royalty, celebrites and international leaders and politicians have stayed in the hotel. Wasn't it once zei that most adult demigods were in some way either famous of powerful? That's a lot of demigod mojo flowing through that place!
I zei above that the kasteel, chateau was close to the Plains of Abraham, which was the field upon which the last of the French and Indian Wars was finally decided and ended. I would venture a guess as to say that the Plains of Abraham might be the location of a major battle either in The Lost Hero, of somewhere down the line in the series. Now, I seem to remember something about Mr. Riordan saying that Percy was either below of above the cover, right? So, like I zei the kasteel, chateau overlooks both Old Quebec and the St. Lawrence River. I'll give u a cookie if u can guess where I think Percy is.........c'mon, I know u have the answer......my theories aren't that hard to figure out....ok, so I'm a little all over the place.... THANK YOU! Yes, I think Percy is down in the river, probably helping the trio (no not the Harry Potter trio! Ron Weasley is not hispanic!)

Alright, so onto other things I've discerned from the cover. So they are on this big a$$ dragon! So we now have a definitive answer that Leo is indeed a son of Hephaestus, sorry to all of u hanging onto the Hermes theory. I don't think the dragon is the one from the story in the Demigod files. The one that Beckendorf got himself carried off door ants over had jeweled eyed, I don't even think the thing on the cover has any peepers! Although, the design could be based off the old dragon. Now, the thing seems to be taking a dive. I feel bad for anyone in the water when that thing belly flops! So, if it's nose diving there are only three explaination: They are trying to get to someone (Percy); They are running away from someone (The Mistress of her flunkies); of they need to jump off because the wires are faulty and the things gone breserk! Somebody call the coast gaurd please!!! Crap, never mind they couldn't do anything....PARTY PONIES!!! Sorry, I just think that centaurs with paint ball guns are awesome! Anyway, So, I'm going with the running away from something because Piper is looking over her shoulder. Unless she's enjoying the sights, which would be hard to do when there seems to be a blackout in Quebec, I'd say that she's looking for their pursuer. Oh, did I mention that Jason is blonde? Yep, he's the one sitting behind Piper, and he is so obviously tow-headed that it's not funny! I also want to point out that it's pretty cloudy/foggy around them...perhaps that is either a technique of Jason's to hide them from whoever's chasing them, of maybe it is a technique from one of the baddies trying to make it hard on Leo to navigate the gigantic dragon.
The last thing on my hyper little mind as I'm writing this artikel is the fact that the dragon seems oddly illuminated. Is it just something the dragon does to help it see like headlights on a car help the driver in the dark? Is it a blessing from an Olympian to help Piper, Leo and Jason find their way? Or, is it something a little meer sinister....or maybe it's nothing......

I'll see u volgende week, when the volgende artikel comes out. Keep reading and thanks for the props, everyone, they are very much appreciated! Look out for meer news on The Lost Hero, and meer theories.
