Should I read the series before watching the movie of after?

I'm interested in the story, but I'm not sure what the most enjoyable way to get started is.

If u are a visual person i would go and watch the movie, i like to do that when a new book to screen adaptation comes out cos u can visualise the places and characters better. Also, if u see the movie first u wont be as disappointed.

It was SO nice to read the book afterwards, all the small details got explained and the twilight universe that I already loved I came to love even more.

In that way u wont get disappointed door the movie either.

It's also better to read the book first because it's fun picturing the characters and later comparing them to the movie. If u watch the movie u have no imagination for what everything looks like.

Reading the boeken first allows for meer creativity and meer enjoyment out of reading the books. (When reading first u can't put the boeken down because u want to know what happens.)

they left out a LOT in the movie thats not in the book so the movie is kind of choopy and fast pace u have to have read the boeken to really get the movie and enjoy it.

I watched the film first and after when I read the book I understood why Edward does certain things in the movie, for example, in their first biology class, why Edward was acting weird towards her.

I would recommend reading the boeken first though, because then u feel like u know the characters more.

It depends on you, because if you're a movie sort of person, u can start on the movie first then the book. But then when u start the book first u would have the facts in the movie and the meer u can understand the movie.

But in some movies, they cut some important parts and if u start with movie u wouldn't enjoy the book much because u would like predict what is going to happen and there's not much excitement in that. So I suggest that u read the book first.

When I saw the trailer for New Moon, I go t a little aggravated with the way they had manipulated some of the scenes. it will be meer interesting to u if u invision the characters, etc. in your mind before u try to adapt to the movie. u may not like the actors they chose for the characters. for example, I was not really crazy about Kristen Stewart as Bella and I'm still not, but its up to you.

i must admit i saw the movie first and i made me not want to read the first book, so what i did was i went out and bought all of them from first through fourth and broke down and read it from start to finish... it made the movie better to me because when i watch it seemed like the whole relationship between Bella and Edward went a little fast, but after reading the book i was able pick out certain things ( of course) but i was also able to visualize (through the book) why their relationship grew like it did... so for me watching the movie first didn't hurt but helped me get into the boeken themselves because after watching the movie it made me want to know how it ended for them.

I never read the book before I watched it and was gripped door it from the seconde the dialogue started...I then bought the DVD and quickly became obsessed while I waited for my Book Box set to arrive...20 days later...
I then Rushed to read Twilight.. and loved every seconde of it.. I even enjoyed the differences because it added depth and another dimention for me, because there were mini stories within the story,And so it was exciting and I loved every page...And I couldnt wait to read New Moon...
But now I have...Thank goodness I stopped there,
Because now i know what will happen in the Movie... Which saddens me because I am a Movie Fanatic, and I love being totally engrossed in a Movie, and feeling all the feelings and confusion and pase that goes along with it... But when u know how it will end...doesnt that spoil it for you?
So... What I am doing is waiting for New Moon - I will watch it - and then decide if I will finnishe the boeken before Watching the rest of the movies...

Somehow I honestly believe WATCHING these specific films first is the Right way to do this... Then go deeper...Read it at leisure...

And besides, Its so much nicer to have afbeeldingen of Edward Cullen in my head (of Robert Pattinson) than to have imagined him any other way...
And the Soundtrack is so captivating, I can hear it in my head while reading it...and long after...

I would watch it first - I always like reading the book after because it feels like going behind the scenes in a way because u learn meer about all the characters - it's like watching deleted scenes in your head :)

If u read the boeken first, do u find yourself getting irritated door any parts which get omitted of changed? Does seeing the films first affect your ability to imagine the characters and scenes your own way?

I read the first book then saw the first film before reading the rest of series. I enjoyed them that way, but I think I'd have enjoyed as much if I'd read all the boeken first, of watched all the films first. They stay pretty true to the boeken (or true enough not to irritate me, anyway, unlike certain other series). The films tell the story well enough that I think people could follow it without needing to read the boeken first. But then there's one scene which is changed and I think the change was meer shocking and had meer impact for me because I'd read that part of the book and was expecting it to stick to canon (trying to be vague so that if u read the boeken first, u might be shocked in the same way).
